People demand SIT probe on death of minor 5/19/2016 11:54:27 PM Early Times Report Billawar, May 19: People hailing from mountainous tehsil of District Kathua Billawar today blocked Billawar- Jammu road for several hours and demanded for Special Investigation Team SIT's probe in the death of a 15 years old boy in Billawar town. Pertinently, a 15 years old 10th standard boy Prikshat Badwal, who was also a Sportsperson drowned in a local river few days back but his family alleged on his friend to kill and then threw in the flowing water. Surjeet Singh, father of the deceased, led the protest and appraised that the suspected boy called the victim and informed that they were going to Dharmkot and later on information about the death of his son, came through another direction of the village Dharmkot. The deceased boy was sports person and recently won gold medal in National athlete competition. He would likely to join his team in Sri Lanka. A Police team led by Kuljeet Singh Dy SP DAR, rushed on the spot and pacified the protesters by informing that an FIR under 174 Cr PC has been lodged, SSP Kathua has constituted a SIT team under the supervision of Adl SP.
