Rajouri, May 21: The raging forest fires in Rajouri, already resulting huge loss of flora and fauna worth crores, remained uncontrolled fresh fire was reported today in Dalogra area of Rajouri town Reports said, "Due to ongoing sweltering heat the forest fire spread in large area along Jammu Rajouri Highway in Dalogra of Rajouri town." The fire was reported on Saturday morning which yet has not been controlled while fire extinguishing operations were on, sources said. They said that the flames due to high temperature and dry weather conditions were rapidly spreading towards quarters of Forest Protection Force and forest employees, locals and police also were trying their best to control the fire. An official of Forest Protection Force Inspector Jamil Ahmed and forester Rashid Chowdhary told that they are putting best to control fire. "Fire brigade services too has also been called in, they said. Meanwhile fire yet has not been brought under control till the last report came in and the operations were on to douse the flames. The exact cause of fire, which is of common phenomena of summers, however, still could not be ascertained |
