Private schools defy Govt order, stay open | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 21: Despite government announcing vacations keeping in view the scorching heat in Jammu, various private schools have paid no heed to the order and have kept their schools open putting young students to difficulty due to sweltering weather conditions. In District Samba some private schools seemed deliberately disobeyed the Govt Orders for closing the schools w.e.f. May 21 to May 28 due to the ongoing heat wave when temperature is crossing over 40 Celsius in Jammu region. The majority of private schools in Samba district remained open today while the local administration too remains a failure to implement the orders in letter and spirit. Worried parents said, "We cannot even deny sending our children to schools as the authorities brand parents for non serious to the studies of their wards." "The government and district administration needs to look into the matter and should redress our genuine grievances at earliest," lamented one person on anonymity. |
