Distt Court Poonch seizes salary account heads of CMO, BMO 5/21/2016 11:58:34 PM Early Times Report Poonch, May 21: In response to petition filed by a complainant who is struggling in the court for justice for last ten years over medical negligence, the Principal Distt Judge Poonch today seized account head of salary of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mandi. Complainant who hails from Mandi of Poonch allegedly was given a wrong injection by a pharmacist of health department at Mandi which resulted damage to his right hand and it became numb and non function. This poor man who was sole bread earner of family was left without livelihood and became helpless. Later he took the matter to the court and after a long legal battle of seven yrs court awarded him compensation amounting to Rs 3 lakh with interest @ 7% to be paid by the health department. Thereafter the complainant filed execution petition for execution of judgment and decree passed in his favour in 2014 Today when the petition was taken up Proncipal Distt Judge Poonch Tahir Khurshid Raina observed keeping in view the conduct of judgment debtors which includes CMO Poonch and BMO Mandi directed account head of salary of CMO Poonch and BMO Mandi be ceased.
