| Teenager killed, three other injured in Doda mishap | | | Early Times Report
Doda, May 26: A teenage boy was killed while three persons received critical injuries today when a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled into a gorge near Grid Station on Thathri - Phagsoo road in Thathri area of District Doda.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Imran (15), s/o Abdul Karim Ganai of Phagsoo who succumbed on way to District Hospital (DH) Doda while the injured have identified as Mohd Amin (50) s/o Abdul Aziz of Jangalwar, Abid Hussain s/o Ali Mohd Sheikh of Nandna and Touseef Ahmed s/o Noor Din Sheikh of Bandoga who later were airlifted to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu.
According to was police reports the vehicle on its way to Phagsoo from Thathri met with accident when the driver lost control while driving on a steep descend.
SHO Thathri Vinay Parihaar said that police along with locals rescued all the four passengers from the ill-fated vehicle and shifted them to Thathri hospital.
Soon after reciveing information police team was rushed to spot which transported the injured to District Hospital Doda but one of than critically injured Mohd Imran succumbed on way to hospital. Meanwhile concerned police have registered a case and started further investigations in this regard. |
