Dubi Gali village under 'blackout' for last 6 days 5/26/2016 10:49:53 PM Udhampur, May 26: Residents from Dubi Gali of Panchari in Udhampur district today staged a protest against Power Development Department (PDD) alleging that the village is witnessing complete blackout for the last six days. Raising slogans against PDD authorities, the locals said that the area is under complete blackout for the last six days but the authorities are least bothered. They said due to ongoing heat wave the villagers are prone to every possible danger from venomous reptiles and other wild creatures but their repeated requests fell to deaf ears. The protesting villagers also threatened the PDD department for early restoring of power to their area otherwise they will be forced to Block the Pancheri Udhampur road. When concentrated XEN Electricity (EM&RE) Udhampur Chamel Singh said that problem in this area started since the transformer of the area went out of order some 5 days ago. The authorities are triying their best to repair the technical snag of the transformer and Departmental Engineers have to go to the area to repair the problem.
