Body of missing youth found from Chenab 5/26/2016 10:50:47 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 26: The body of a youth missing since this May 3 was recovered from Chenab here today and concerned police have started inquest proceedings in this regard. Police sources said, "the body of youth (26) identified as Sandeep Kumar s/o Roshan Lal of Matta Kishtwar was recovered from river Chenab and it has registered a case u/s 174 CrPC." As per the details available with "Early Times", the father of the deceased had lodged a missing complaint with Police Station Kishtwar stating that his son Sandeep has been missing since May 3 as he did not return to home in the evening. "Though they had launched a massive search for him at their own but failed to trace him, complainant added. "After registration of missing complaint, Kishtwar police started investigating the case and today in the morning, some locals informed the police that a dead body was floating in the river Chenab near HRT tunnel of abandoned Rattle Power project," police sources said They said, "Accordingly police party from Police Post Drabshala led by Sub Inspector Yog Raj rushed to the spot and after taking custody of body, the police shifted it to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar where the body was identified by the family members as Sandeep Kumar. Sources said, "The deceased was married some eight months ago and is survived by his pregnant wife.
