NPP resists separatists Bandh call | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 26: Denouncing the Kashmir Bandh call given by the separatists today against the establishment of Composite Township for Kashmiri Pandits and Sainik Colony in the valley as deep rooted anti-national conspiracy, a battalion of Panther activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP today staged a vociferous protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu. The infuriated protestors torched the effigy of the BJP-PDP coalition for pushing Hurriyat agenda in Kashmir. While revealing the tragic tale of mass exodus of Kashmiri Pundits from the valley in the early nineties, Singh lambasted the secessionist forces of Kashmir for their inhumane stance opposing the return and rehabilitation of KP's back to their native land with dignity and honour. He said that the Kashmir Bandh called by the separatists today against the establishment of separate colonies for the KP's and Sainik Colony in Kashmir was highly provocative, seditious and divisive in nature. "If government would not stand to the expectations of the public at large, then Panthers party would oppose, expose and depose sinister alliance to save the State from further destruction", he said adding that if government could not deliver, then it should depart and go on moral grounds and give people a fresh chance to elect the government of their choice. Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Rajesh Padgotra, GaganPartap, Sham Gorkha, Neeraj Chib, Nirmal Kishore, Shankar Singh and Sanjeev Verma. |
