Hirangar, July 8: The Matador operators of Kootah-Surara have gone to the strike due to incomplete Kootah-Surara link road which was constructed under PMGSY.
The people of more than 30 villages such as Kanah, Mayan, Nichla, Barla, Loukhli, Badoli, Krarkey, Samthyal, Gungad, Odh, Karmichi, Surara, Ratanpur, Solah, Dasiyan, Said, Sohal, Nouni, Brah, Gazithangar are facing the problem due to strike by transport unions. A deputation comprising many women and children under the representation of Murari Lal Sharma Sr. Vice President Hiranagar Block Congress Committee met SDM Ghagwal ND Sharma and requested the later to resume the construction work of road. SDM ND Sharma asked the concerned Executive Engineer to resume the work. He further assured that the work will resume within days. Sat Paul Choudhary Sarpanch Panchayat Halqua Surara was also present.
