| Prime Minister Narender Modi has largely expanded his Council of Ministers on 6th July and given the chance to new 19 ministers thereby also dropping 5 ministers in order to give a boost to serve the people of this country with fresh zeal and energy. Prime Minister Modi has also divested Samriti Irani , from the earlier portfolio of HRD
But certainly one thing is there that PM Modi has not given the fair treatment to his party's ruling partner PDP in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in accommodating it into his ministry .
There were expectations that in his reshuffling the cabinet, he may induct either of the two PDP's Members of Parliament Muzzafar Hussain Beigh or Tariq Hamid Karra. Not giving any representation to Kashmir in his cabinet has given the bad signals to the political field in the country .
Pertinent to mention here that when Dr. Farooq Abdullah was the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir his son Omar Abdullah was given the berth in Atal Behari Bajpayee's Council of Ministers. Just for refreshing the memories of the readers, Omar Abdullah worked as Minister of State in GOI and took the oath on 13-10-1999 as MOS Commerce and Industry in NDA led Union Government headed by Atal Behari Vajpayee. On 22nd July,2001, he became the youngest Union Minister when he was made as MOS, External Affairs under the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. He resigned from the post on 23-12-2002 to concentrate on his party work. Once Prof/ Saifu Din Soz as National Conference MP remained in the NDA led Union Ministry of PM Atal Behari Vajpayee. This was the tradition earlier which was totally sidelined and Kashmir has been ignored for the reasons best known to PM Modi . Political circles are interpreting the things in their own ways . It is important to mention here that PM Modi has given the place to the competent parliamentarians in his cabinet . At the moment, only Dr. Jatinder Singh is working as MOS( PMO) in Modi's cabinet from Jammu and Kashmir. He represents Udhampur/ Doda / Kathua Lok Sabha constituency of Indian Parliament . As BJP candidate , Dr. Jatinder Singh ( MOS - PMO) won the Udhampur/Doda / Kathua seat by securing 487369 votes defeating his nearest arrival of Indian National Conference and ex- Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad . It is worthwhile to pen down here that elections to 16th LOK SABHA were held and in these election in Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha costituencies, three MPs seats each bagged by BJP and PDP . Anantnag, Baramulla and Srinagar seats gone into the pocket of PDP whereas the rest three seats - Udhampur, Jammu and Ladhakh into the pocket of BJP. As PDP candidate, Mehbooba Mufti ( now CM J&K) won the Anantnag Seat by securing 200429 votes defeating her nearest arrival of National Conference candidate Syed Ahmed Shah.
Muzzafar Hussain Baig won the Baramulla seat by securing 175277 votes defeating his nearest arrival of National Conference candidate Sharifuddin Shariq and Tariq Hamid Karra won the Srinagar seat by securing 157923 votes defeating his nearest arrival of Patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah. Jugal Kumar Sharma won the Jammu/ Poonch seat by securing 257280 votes defeating his nearest arrival of Indian national congress candidate Madan lal Sharma and it is pertinent to mention here that Ladhakh seat was bagged by Thupstan Chhewang of BJP defeating his nearest arrival Independent candidate Ghulam Raza .In the Lok Sabha elections 2014, by electing Thupstan Chhewang as their Member of Parliament who contested his election on BJP ticket , Ladhakhis have strengthened the hands of Narender Bhai Modi leading the NDA Government at the centre and also shown their patriotism towards the Nation. In Lok Sabha elections they have shown their wisdom thereby leaving aside the petty state issues but they preferred strong and progressive government at the national level. In Jammu region people have supported the Bhartiya Janta Party ( BJP) which at the moment is actually ruling the country under the banner of NDA . On November 7, PM Modi addressed a joint rally of PDP and BJP in Sher-e-Kashmir stadium at Srinagar under the tightest security in the valley . He announced a financial package to the state of Jammu and Kashmir to the order of 80068 crores of rupees for the all round development and progress. He praised the youth of the state who are these days showing their talent in every field of life . While announcing the package he made it clear that this is the beginning and if the need be further he will not hesitate to give the further financial assistance to the state . After the formation of Coalition Government with BJP, some serious problem was going on with these two PDP MPs Muzzafar Hussain Beigh and Tariq Hamid Karra about the functioning of PDP. This was the main reason that they became inactive in the affairs of the party. They are enjoying the very good reputation with the Legislators of their respective Baramulla and Srinagar Parliamentary Constituencies. After the formation of Coalition Government with BJP, some serious problem was going on with these two PDP MPs about the functioning of PDP. This was the main reason that they became inactive in the affairs of the party. After the visit of the PM MOdifrom Srinagar things improved in PDP affairs and these two parliamentarians became active once again and are very much in the field delivering the goods to the people of the state with their rich experience. Baig Sahib is a senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India. There is no substitute to him in law matters throughout his career, he remained victorious and his intellect and experience in LAW. He is always lauded by the Lordships of J&K High Court and the Supreme Court of India as well. He remained as the Dy. Chief Minister of the State for three years in Mufti's Cabinet. Despite remaining in power, there is no stigma at all on his impressive personality as yet. Almost all the political personalities of the State have highest regard for him as he is an outstanding Lawyer of the Country. Like wise Tariq Hamid Karra is also a well experienced practicing lawyer enjoying a very good reputation amongst the electorates of the valley . At the moment, Modi has the ministry of competent ministers which is ruling the country dedicatedly and delivering the goods to the people . Under the present circumstances , Kashmir really needs its representation into the Modi"s Cabinet . PDP's Members of Parliament Muzzafar Hussain Beigh and Tariq Hamid Karra are in the fray for induction as the union ministry into Modi"s Cabinet. Both are competent parliamentarians for the assignment as the central minister as they have the experience as the Finance Minister of J&K Government into Mufti Mohammed Sayeed's cabinet . They don't any sort of stigma on their working as the minister in Jammu and Kashmir state . Since Muzafar Hussain Beigh is widely travelled personality from the advocacy stream with strong background as the Lawyer of Supreme Court of India, he deserves for the assignment therefore in the fitness of the things in place Kashmir may be given the representation into the central ministry thereby inducting Muzzafar Hussain Beigh as the cabinet minister. His induction into the Union Ministry would further strengthen the ties between the political parties of the unlike poles of the globe .
