ADKPUF holds meeting, discuss issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 8: All Displaced Kashmiri Pandit United Forum (ADKPUF) today held a meeting in which they discuss the current political scenario and the recent incidents of vandalizatio of temples in Kashmir valley.D N Kissu while speaking on the occasion said that the recent incidents of the vandalization of temples in Kashmir have shaken the confidence of the displaced community. He further said that unless the government passes the Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill it will become very difficult to protect the temples in Kashmir. We appeal to the government for the passage of the Temples Bill in the next session of the state assembly. He appealed the government to hasten the process of employment package as majority of our youth have become over aged in the wait. There is also a need to remove the draconian condition of serving in the valley as the conditions at the moment are not conducive for safe and secure living. They also raised the issue of non supply of ration to the employees and pension holders of the community and appealed the government to remove this discrimination at the earliest. G L Koul, Makhan Lal Pandita, PL Sudeshi, Badri Nath, Chaman Lal Zutshi, Naryanzan Nath and Chaman Lal Kohl were also present during meeting. |
