J&K boy on board IAF's missing AN-32 | | | Arun Trisal Early Times Report Kathua, 24 July: 72 hours have passed since missing of AN-32 transport plane carrying 29 defence officers including Gurdyal Choudhary, an airman hailing from remotest village Baniyari, tehsil Marheen District Kathua. Family member of missing airman have now demanded intervention of state government to coordinate with the centre and defence authorities for speeding up the ongoing search operation. "I urge the state government suthorities to depute an officer to coordinate the ongoing search operations" father of the Gurdyal, Chuda Ram Choudhary said. Meanwhile, people of the area are also eagerly waiting for news about the aircraft and those on board. Grandmother and Sister of the Gurdyal also requested the people of the country to pray for the safety of all people on board. Gurdyal got married just nine months back and was presently posted at Chennai. On 21st July, he left for duty in AN-32 transport plane, but just few minutes after taking off the plane lost contact with the control centre. "We have not taken food since the news of missing plane was received" a family members said. Meanwhile, the villagers are praying every hour for the well being of the airman and have appealed to the government to speed up the rescue operation. |
