CEC Sonam Dawa visits SNM Hospital 7/25/2016 2:43:41 AM LEH: Responding in a proactive manner the CEC, LAHDC Leh, Dr. Sonam Dawa alongwith DC, Leh Prasanna Ramaswamy G today visited SNM Hospital, Leh to look into the matters recently raised during GCM. CMO Leh Dr Yangchan Dolma; MS SNM Hospital, Phutsog Angchok and other senior staff of SNM were also present during the visit. The CEC directed the boys employed at the parking barricade to deal politely and patiently with the visitors and to let go the patient's vehicles on priority. It was also decided to collect the parking fee while leaving the premises to avoid traffic congestion near the hospital gate and inconvenience to the patients. The CEC inspected different OPDs and labour wards and interacted with some of the patients enquiring about the facilities provided by the hospital. He directed hospital authorities to provide free 5 days course of medicine to deserving patients prescribed by doctors in writing and urged for following of dress code by medical staff differentiating their designation. He also directed the PHE and Construction officials to address the sewerage issue urgently. Addressing the hospital staff Dr. Dawa said that their purpose of visit was to take stock of SNM hospital in terms of its functioning and to learn about the problems of the hospital as well as the staff.
