Dy CM reviews security scenario in Udhampur 8/7/2016 10:35:54 PM Early Times Report Udhampu , Aug 7: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today called upon the officers of civil and police administration of Udhampur district to take all necessary measures for ensuring peace and tranquility in the district. While chairing a meeting of officers, here today which was convened to review the security scenario in the Udhampur district, the Deputy Chief Minister said that some unscrupulous forces are out to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the State and it is the duty of the administration to keep close watch on such elements and thwart any such attempt. He directed the officers of the police and civil administration to maintain close contact with all sections of the society, including heads of the religious/social organizations to ensure peace at all costs in the district. He directed them to sternly deal with the rumor mongers and taking appropriate measures to maintain communal harmony and mutual brotherhood in the area. The Deputy Chief Minister also appealed the people to join hands in strengthening the government's resolve for ensuring sustained peace and development in the state, adding that "we should collectively synergize our efforts for ushering an era of peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir which has remained apathy of successive governments. The people of the State have already suffered a lot due to militancy and other reasons for the past over three decades, therefore, it is the high time to focus on the development of all regions of the State. We have got a golden opportunity to contribute for the development of the State as the Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narender Modi is so much concerned and liberal in providing funds to upgrade the outlived infrastructure and restoring lasting peace and tranquility in the state. We must grab this opportunity and make our best efforts to bring the State out of the morass of poverty, unemployment and other allied issues concerning the general masses" said Dr. Singh, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, DIG, SSP Udhampur and district officers of various departments were present in the meeting.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
