Banihal, Aug 7: Two persons were killed and three others injured today in separate road accidents on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district.
Two persons were killed when the SUV they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Sher Bibi area on the highway. However, the driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt, a police officer said.
The deceased have been identified as GM Drabu, a resident of Banihal, and Showkat Chowhan of Anantnag district.
In another accident, three persons were injured when the taxi they were travelling in turned turtle near here, police said.
The injured were rushed to the local hospital for treatment, he said. |
