BHADERWAH, Aug 7: Two SFC (state forest corporation) labourers were killed and three others wounded after the roof of a kacha room they were sleeping in gave way to heavy rains here today.
The incident occurred at Shorara in Subhar Dhar in Bhaderwah in the afternoon when the labourers were sleeping inside their temporary kacha room, according to police sources.
While one labourer died on the spot, the other succumbed to his injuries on way to Doda district hospital.
The dead were identified as Dost Mohammad (55), son of Mohammad Sharief, and Saifu Din (30), son of Abdul Quyoom. Both of them hailed from Dharaveri, Gandoh.
The injured included Mohammad Akber (50), son of Gullah Sheikh, Mohammad Rafi (25), son of Gulam Qadir, and Saiful Din (3), son of Sullah Sheikh, all residents of Dharaveri. They were admitted to SDH, Bhaderwah.
Bhaderwah SDH BMO, Dr Yudvir Singh Kotwal said the injured were being given the requisite treatment.
Police have registered a case in this connection. |
