| Residents nominates area as 'Sudhama Colony', elects body | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18: A meeting of the residents of a Private Colony coming up near Yogashram-SOS School in Village Nandni Gole Gujral -Talab Tilloo area was held to discuss various problems faced by the people of the area in which members decided to name the colony and also frame a Mohalla Welfare Committee.
According to press statement, "The participating members decided to name the up-coming colony as Sudhama Colony and approach concerned departments and officials for approval of the same.
It added that members elected an adhoc committee with Prof Gopi Kishen Muju as the Chairman of Mohalla Welfare Committee while Raman Kumar Sharma as General Secretary, Engineer Purshottam Kumar Sharma as treasurer and Dr Kamal Kishore as a member of the (Ad Hoc )Welfare Committee.
It was also resolved that a sign boards 'Sudhama Colony' shall be fixed at appropriate places in the area for proper identification of the Colony.
The members also discussed issues including uninterrupted electric supply, ensure installation of two additional 100 KW electric transformers at earliest for which approval has already been obtained from the PDD and to approach various departments / agencies like JMC /JDA/ PWD/ PHE /BSNL / irrigation & FC and etc in connection with various pressing problems faced by the residents like drainage, regular water supply, macadamizing the roads, drainage street lights etc. |
