| Civil Society calls separatists as 'Opportunist' | | | Early Times Report
Mendher, Aug 18: Terming the separatist leaders of Kashmir as 'opportunists and trouble mongers' the Civil Society of the town comprising representatives from majority and minority communities lambasted their role in present valley situation and held them responsible for the killings of innocent in Kashmir.
In a joint meeting of Civil Society held under chairmanship of Imam of Jamia Masjid, Molana Mohd Sultan Naqshbandi which was also joined in by members from Beopar Mandal President Parveen Sawhney , Hindus Sanatan Sabha President Satish Sharma, the members unanimously resolved that separatists leaders of Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani and others of his ilk are responsible for the killings of innocent while keeping their own wards at safer places outside the state just to grind their own axes.
The members of Civil Society decided to observe one day shutdown in the town to express their resentment against the killing of innocent youth of Kashmir and security personnel.
During the shutdown, all the educational institutes remained closed and the attendance in government offices remained thin. The local transport also remained absent from roads while the main market town wore a deserted look. |
