Scooties distributed among beneficiaries 8/22/2016 9:35:30 PM Early Times Report Ramban, Aug 22: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban, Neelam Langeh distributed Scooties modified for specially abled persons, at District Social Welfare Office. On the occasion MLA was accompanied by the District Programme Officer ICDS, Ashok Pandita, District Social Welfare Officer, Varunjeet Singh Charak, other officers and large number of people. MLA while handing over the scooties to the beneficiaries told that people should come forward from all walks of life especially the downtrodden for taking benefits of the Social welfare and other schemes run by the Central and State government for their upliftment. Meantime people were also made aware by the department about the different welfare schemes launched by the government for women, children, socially backward and weaker section of the society. DSWO apprised that scooties have been provided to the beneficiaries who are handicapped with more than 40 per cent physical deformity and feel difficulty in moving from one place to another place.
