Officials remain absent since I- Day 8/22/2016 10:55:52 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Aug 22: Resented over absence of officials on Independence Day, the resident of Lohai, tehsil Billawar, 70 Km from here held protest against Block Development Officer BDO Lohai-Malhar. The protesters blocked BDO Office and alleged that all officers except class 4th remain absent from duty since Independence Day celebration resulting sufferings to people who approached Block officers. Abid Hussain led the protest and demanded proper check on officers. Abid Hussain informed that all the officers in Block Office Lohai-Malhar, a mountainous area and when people approached the office, class 4th employees suggested people to move Billawar. He said that people had to walk several miles to reach the office at Billawar wherein Officers perform duty in spite of actual post of posting.
