4 PDA employees suspended for letting construction material enter Pahalgam | | | Saahil Suhail
Early Times Report
Anantnag, Sept 1: Four employees of Pahalgam Development Authority were on Thursday placed under suspension for allowing construction material to enter Pahalgam. Chief Executive Officer of Pahalgam Development Authority, Mushtaq Ahmad Sminani told Early Times that suspended employees were found guilty of allowing the material into the area, falling under the jurisdiction of development authority. "Some building material entered Pahalgam on August 30 and 31 through the Sarbal toll post due to the negligence of employees posted there," reads the suspension order issued by CEO. "All four employees are placed under suspension with immediate effect," reads the order. The CEO said he had ordered an enquiry and asked the probe panel to submit the factual report within a month. He identified the four suspended employees as Manzoor Ahmad Tappa, Abdul Rashid Mir, Ghulam Nabi Bhat and Bilal Ahmad, all helpers. It is pertinent to mention here that the state high court has imposed a blanket ban on all sorts of constructions at Pahalgam and areas falling under the jurisdiction of Pahalgam Development Authority. Early Times had earlier exposed an influential person who had carried out construction works at the famous tourist resort while taking undue advantage of unrest. |
