Morning Walkers Asso felicitates Sunil Sharma (Retd) IGP 9/1/2016 11:14:07 PM Early Time Report Jammu, Sept 1: Morning Walkers Association, Gandhi Nagar, today felicitated Sunil Sharma IGP SHRC J&K (IPS) whose services recently attained superannuation after a distinguished career of 32.5 years. During an impressive felicitation ceremony, the Morning Walkers Association Gandhinagar alongwith prominent citizens of Green Belt Park locality felicitated IGP (Retd) Sunil Sharma. A large number of members of association were present on this occasion. The association members arranged a high tea party in the honor of IGP Sunil Sharma whose services attained superannuation on August 31. Speaking on the occasion, members recalled that Sunil Sharma too has remained regular morning walker and also have a good rapport with every morning walker and others. Expressing his thanks to the members of Morning Walkers Association and other hosts who organized the ceremony, IGP Sharma said it is his privilege that he has some good human beings in his friendly sphere. Pertinently belonging to a very prestigious business family Sunil Sharma a Ranji Trophy player Jammu university cricket captain did his schooling from Punjab Public School Nabha and Degree from University of Cambridge UK. After doing graduation and LLB he joined J&K police in Feb'84 as DySp and had served as DySP city Srinagar, SP City Srinagar, he also held the chair of lSSP Traffic Jammu twice and also held charge as SSP Vigilance, SSP Crime Branch Jammu and SSP Leh. He was inducted into IPS in 1994 and after his promotion as DIG in 2007 he served as DIG Traffic Jammu and DIG CID Jammu and was promoted as IGP In 2012 and served as IGP (Security) for nearly 3 years and retired as IGP SHRC J&K. it also has been learnt that after his retirement, the retired senior police officer is getting good offers to serve in public and political life.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
