| Hotel association delegation call on MOS Railway | | |  Early Times Report
Katra , Sept 4: A delegation of Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra led by its president met Minister of State for Railways Rajan Gohain at Katra and apprised him that Railways is the major facilitator of yatra of Mata Vaishnodevi ji and better Railway infrastructure, facilities and more connectivity of trains to Katra will boost the yatra of Vaishnodevi ji even more and asked for extension and enhancement of more trains to Katra. He further said that the early connectivity of train from Katra to Srinagar besides providing connectivity to Kashmir will prove to be major Tourism booster in the state and Vaishnodevi ji in particular because Katra being enroute will attract more pilgrims and Tourists to Vaishnodevi ji and more and more people will add Katra Vaishnodevi in their itenary and thus prove to be major pilgrim booster.
Gohain listened the delegation patiently and assured that Railway is keen to complete the Railway line upto Srinagar at the earlist besides providing all major facilities at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station.
Executive Director Railway Board U Hazarika, Addl.Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Shiv Kumar Gupta, besides senior officials of Indian Railways including Chief Administrative Officer Anurag Kumar Sachhan, Addl.Divisional Manager A.K.Rana,Chief Engineer Sandeep Gupta,Sr.DCM Roshan Singh ,Station Supertendent Jugal Kishore Sharma were also present in the meet. The delegation among others was comprised of association's chairman Shyam Lal Kesar,Sr.Vice President Virender Kesar,Vice Presidents Ajay Kotwal,Nishant Sharma, Sumit Khajuria,Secretary Mohit Dubey etc. |
