'Time for GoI to teach Pak stooges a lesson' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 4: Separatists refusing to meet the All Party Delegation (APD) in Srinagar on Sunday has proved that these so-called 'well wishers' of Kashmiris have got nothing to do with the people and they follow the diktats of their masters sitting in Pakistan and PoK. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Separatists have lost a golden chance to talk. Leaders from across India had come to their door step with a peace offer. They have spurned it to keep their bosses, sitting across the LoC, in good books. Refusal of the separatists to meet the APD leaders would mean that Delhi has got only one option left that it would have to diffuse the present crisis in Kashmir with an iron fist." He said, "These separatists make a beeline outside Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi whenever they are called there to attend lavish parties or when any Pakistani office bearer or a politician arrives there. They ensure that they are marked present whenever they are summoned by Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi." A Kashmir watcher said, "These separatists don't mind meeting Indian leaders secretly and seek favours from them but whenever they are invited to hold talks in open they run away. The refusal of the separatists needs to be viewed seriously. New Delhi should expose all of them by issuing a whitepaper on their activities and about the money which they have taken from central government during all these years." A political analyst said, "One fails to understand that why GoI is soft towards them (separatists). They should be dealt with sternly and booked rather than being allowed to dictate terms. Hurriyat hawk Geelani despite being under house arrest is enjoying all the privileges. The Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been kept like a VIP in a hut at Chesmashahi in Srinagar, while the JKLF chief Yasin Malik has been detained at Police officers mess at Humhama." "The government should give up its soft policy and act tough. The first step it can take is that all the separatists, who have set Kashmir on fire to appease Pakistan and are fighting their war, should be sent to far-off jails. Secondly all the Pakistani agents in Kashmir should be identified and dealt with according to the law of the land," he added. "The mainstream politicians who wanted Centre to reach out to separatists should now keep their mouth shut and allow GoI to deal with the Kashmir crisis in its own way. These separatists have become a nuisance for Kashmir and Kashmiris. They keep on calling for shutdowns and strikes every now and then. They need to be shown their right place so that next time they don't get a chance to hold Kashmir and Kashmiris as hostage," the analyst added. |
