JAC disgruntled over Director Animal Husbandry charge to Chaproo | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 4: Joint Action Committee has taken strong cognizance of the recent assumption of charge of Director, Animal Husbandry Department by Mohd Yousuf Chaproo who belongs to reserved category and falls at Sr. No 93 in the seniority list of the department thereby flouting the directions of Supreme court to maintain status quo in the case of extending Reservation in Promotions. It is pertinent to mention that deserving candidate belonging to general category Kewal Krishan Bhardawaj, existing at Serial No 20 in the seniority list has been ignored by the higher authorities on the verbal instructions of Minister Incharge , Animal Husbandary Department and made to stagnate at his current post . The Joint Action Committee expressed strong resentment and anguish over the issue considering the fact that the High Court has quashed the reservation in promotion rules and the Supreme court had directed to maintain status quo. The GAD circulars in vogue currently have also stated that no reserved category candidate should be promoted till the outcome of the writ petition in the Supreme court. Joint Action Committee unanimously resolved to take the fight to streets and file contempt proceedings against the erring officers/ministers if the directions of supreme court are flouted and undue benefit is bestowed by any means to the reserved category candidates. Joint Action committee expressed faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who has stood tall and always believed on the pillars of Legal justice system and in this hour of turmoil in the state we are with her in bringing the state out of these tough times. |
