| Political affluent constructing sanctum sanatorium in forest land | | | Rajesh Tandon

Mandi, Sept 4: Throwing all laws and norms to wind some "politically affluent" try to construct sanctum in forest land area of village Fatehpur of tehsil Mandi.
According to some locals from the area allegedly said that the tactful goons already have illegally occupied the via state land in this vilage by constructing a mosque in about 4 marlas land out of 19 marlas and remaining 15 marlas land has been illegally encroached by them.
Locals alleged that by the political influence they are trying to occupy the said state land (presently occupied by social forestry department). Villagers in this regard said that they have no objections to construct sanctum (Eidgah) they only object that there are two other Eidgahs available in Fatehpur and Sathra where all worshippers can reach easily. They said the matter is not to construct of Eidgah but is to occupy the state land illegally. They alleged that four or five persons who try to misuse the land are known as selfish in area and have desolated the nursery of social forestry. Villagers said while they informed concern department about the matter, the officers of the department are trying to solve it. Villagers warn forest department to investigate the matter before issuing permission of construction to them. They said the said persons have already occupied about 20 kanals (Auqaf land) too. They appealed to deputy commissioner Poonch Muhammad Harun Malik to intervene the matter personally and investigate the matter deeply and defeats them in their defiled missions. |
