NSF continues protest in JU, gherao DSW 9/26/2016 10:40:51 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 26: Activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) University Unit held a protest demonstration in front of DSW and gheraoed the office of DSW for not fulfil of their chart of demands. Led by Reshikesh Rana, NSF JU President the activists raising slogans protested against University authorities, Incharge Central Library and DSW for not conceding to their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter. Protestors condemned the Vice-Chancellor for prompting students to adopt the agitation path instead of redressing their grievances. Addressing the protestors, Rishikesh Rana said that working of Jammu University is deteriorating with each passing day and the authorities are taking the things for granted. He alleged that University has become money minting machine for some vested interests from the students by hook or crook without providing them requisite facilities. Speakers also took strong note of the non availability of facilities including ceiling fans etc being provided by the Jammu University in the Library where hundreds of students are preparing for various competitive exams. They also said that university is collecting Rs 500/- per month as Library fees but in its contrast offeroing nothing. The speakers warned that NSF activists would launch indefinite agitation, if the University authorities don't fulfill their demands. NSF activists also have sought the intervention of Governor and urged him to look into the matter.
