Govt identifies over 500 employees involved in anti-national activities | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: State Government has identified nearly 500 government employees, working in different departments, who have been actively involved in anti-national activities. And these employees are in the fore-front to put whole Jammu and Kashmir on the fire to fulfill nefarious designs of separatists and other groups. Of these over 500 government employees, nearly 60 employees are on gazetted posts and drawing huge salaries from the state exchequer. Credible sources in the intelligence agencies said that sleuths of intelligence agencies, after one month long exercise, have identified most of the employees who have directly involved in fueling unrest and violence in Kashmir Valley and some parts of Jammu province also. Sleuths of CID wing of Jammu and Kashmir with the help of some central agencies have prepared list of all such anti-national employees and action against these employees have already started. Credible sources further revealed that over 1000 employees are openly involved in the prevailing unrest but there are many other employees who are indirectly involved in the anti-national activities. Sources said that authorities involved in restoring normalcy in Kashmir Valley have made it clear to the higher ups that without taking action against such employees it is difficult rather impossible to restore normalcy in many parts of the Valley. They further cautioned that some employees in Jammu region also directly involved in disrupting peace. As reported in a section of media, the government has decided to terminate at least 80 employees from the services for their alleged involvement in the protests during the current uprising in the Valley. Official sources said the government has decided to take harsh steps against some employees after sending several warnings to them "not to be part of anti-India protests" in Kashmir and refrain in "fueling the current unrest" in the Valley. "Recently a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary B R Sharma where it was decided to terminate around 80 employees who have been actively participating in anti-India protests and stone pelting without sending them any show-cause notices," a senior government official said. |
