Engineers prefer lucrative PHE over R&B | Refuse to return to parent department, manage choice posting | | Avinash Azad
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: Disobeying Government's transfer order, several engineers instead of repatriating to their parent department are managing choicest posting in PHE department. According to sources, earlier Hydraulic wing was under R&B Ministry, and services of engineers were being utilized in both, R&B and Hydraulic wings. "Since its separation from R&B, Hydraulic wing of Mechanical engineering department is under PHE Ministry", sources said adding that no shuffling is being done regularly. However, the sources further said that still the administrative control is with R&B department and the same department sends engineers to other wings. Interestingly, in the recent orders, it has been observed that some engineers were transferred back to R&B by the PHE department but before they could join in their parent department (R&B) they again managed postings in the PHE Department without any approval from R&B department. "Vide order no 129 Pw (Hyd) of 2016 dated 29/04/2016, Sudesh Sharma AEE Mech. was supposed to report to PWD Department for further posting but he never joined R&B and again got adjusted in PHE at Company Bagh station vide order no. 133PW (Hyd) of 2016 dated 20/05/2016. The copy of the order was not sent to R&B Department which raises question on the entire gamut. Kuldeep Sharma too was to report to PWD Department for further posting vide order no 129 Pw(Hyd) of 2016 dated 29/04/2016 but he too got adjusted as Technical Officer to Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical South division vide order no 133PW (Hyd) of 2016 dated 20/05/2016 without the knowledge of R&B Department. In another case, G S Slathia was adjusted as Technical Officer to Ex. Engineer Mech. G. W. D. Division Jammu. "Other such Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) include Dalip Wali, R K Kohli, KK Verma, Anoop Verma and several more. Ravi Bushan Sharma AEE who was attached with Chief Engineer PHE Jammu from Mechanical G.W.D. Division Jammu was within 20 days adjusted again in Mech. G.W.D. Division Jammu as he is reportedly running his own drilling machines in the division. Further, Engineers with IME degree are working in Hydraulic wing right since their entry in Degree Engineers", sources added. |
