PDD Daily Wagers starts their stir in support of their demands 9/26/2016 10:56:37 PM Early Times Report Jammu Sept 26: Daily Wager Union of Power Development Depertment (PDD) today started a 72 hours complete strike in the office of Chief Engineer, PDD, Jammu at Canal Road, Jammu in support of the their long pending demands. Addressing the gathering the union leaders said nearly 200 persons have died and many were injured while performing their professional duties but till date Government has not provided any assistance to the families of the deceased or to the injured persons. They further stated that last year 56 days long strike was called off on the assurance of Deputy Chief Minister, J&K that our demands shall be fulfilled at earliest, but despite the lapse of more than one year no fruitful action has been taken till date. Highlighting other demands daily wagers said only 321 Daily Wagers have been regularised in Jammu district whereas only 60 have been regularised in Kathua District while rest are still struggling for their regularization. Other demands raised in this meeting were to regularize all daily wagers who have completed seven years of their services, pending dues (salary) for 35 months to be released and accident Insurance Scheme also to be implemented in case of Daily Wagers.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
