Make Maharaja Hari Singh's will regarding 'Agri University at Nagbani' public: J&K NCP Chief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: President state unit of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh today has appealed the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation as well to make the will of last Maharaja Hari Singh public in which he especially has mentioned setting up of an Agricultural University at Nagbani'. In a press statement issued here today, President state unit of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh stated that the issue was spoted during his interaction with Kunwar Haribansh Singh MP Loksabha from Partapgargh ,UP who is a All India President of Akhil Bhartiya Kshtriya MahaSabha -the special invitee in Virat Rajput Sammelan held at M A stadium Jammu on Sunday to mark the 122nd birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh the last ruler of the J&K state. He stated that Thakur Randhir Singh and Kunwar Haribansh Singh discussed various issues of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in detail including the great contributions of Late Maharaja Hari Singh. Describing Late Maharaja Hari Singh a great secular, benevolent ruler, State NCP chief asked the present rulers of the state to follow the rules as set by the late Maharaja Hari Singh for public welfare. Thakur Randhir Singh told the young MP of Pratapgarh that greatest misfortune of Jammu region is that Maharaja Hari Singh last will has not been implemented in the right spirit in establishing the Agriculture University as Maharaja Agriculture Collegiate Nagbani which one is on the pattern of SKN College of Agriculture Jobner near Jaipur as part of the Agriculture University Udaipur, Rajasthan. Former Minister Th Randhir Singh further stated Maharaja Hari Singh has signed a will where he has categorically mentioned that an orphan boy of Jammu province of my time should get free education form 1st to college. Thakur alleged some close associates of Late Maharaja and others have misused Maharaja's will and converted it into Public School instead of complete Agriculture College at Nagbani. He has appealed the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to make the will of Maharaja to be made public and demanded action against culprits. |
