NC leadership under attack for siding with separatists | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 18: Frustrated over losing power in 2014, National Conference (NC) is now trying to seek the good wishes of separatist Hurriyat leadership. This is the reason that NC from its top leadership including its president and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah to pro in provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani are demanding talks with Hurriyat and release of all jailed leaders. However NC demand has drawn a flake from almost all nationalist people in the State who have put various questions to N C leadership on the issue. Criticising NC for demanding dialogue with separatist Hurriyat and release of its jailed leaders, the leaders of various mainstream parties said this way NC was legitimizing the antinational role of Hurriyat whose leadership is instigating the children for stone pelting. The NC leadership have also drawn criticism for demanding release of separatist leaders and its attack on Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti. Lambasting NC these leaders said it is not PDP but NC which is responsible for 27 year long unrest in Valley by misleading people about accession and terming it conditional. Had NC not misled masses about accession made by Maharaja and ratified by constituent Assembly later, the situation would have been different said Satish Ponchi president JK People's Front. He said it was NC which misled Kashmiri youth since 1952. Supporting him Ashwani Kumar a senior leader of Shiv Sena said NC's statement is result of frustration after losing power in 2014 which it had never dreamed. The same were views of Kashmiri Pandit Conference leader (KPC) Kundan Kashmiri who held NC responsible for mass exodus of Pandits and their present plight. He said NC can't mislead nation any more in this regard. |
