World postal day celebrated | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 18: The world post day was today celebrated in KIDZEE and Mount Litera Zee School. This day was celebrated with an aim to create awareness amongst the children about the role of the Postal services in India. Mili R.Sumbria (Principal, kidzee & Mount Litera Zee School ,Kathua) explained to the students that in this era of technology and advancement, the postal department is not only pacing up to cope with these pressures but in the coming years all the post offices will be IT enabled. As per the curriculum, Students in the able guardianship of Miss Monika Jasrotia (Coordinator, kidzee) along with the other faculty members, such as Prabha, Shally went for a field trip to the Post office Kathua. The children were taken class-wise so as to ensure effective understanding of concept. They were extremely excited and enthusiastic as what they studied in their books became real for them. They met the post master, understood the journey of a letter, saw the post box etc. Charan Bhagat (Post Master, Kathua) with his staff members extended full support and cooperation with the school authorities and explained each and every aspect of the postal department. |
