Virasat organizes mega literary event | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 18: Virasat a socio cultural organization in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages organized a mega literary event in which hundreds of people from across the district Poonch participated. The main attraction of the program was recital performance of Punjabi Play " Rishtian da ki Rakhieay Naa" by Sahitya Academy and Sangeet Natya Academy awardee Chandigarh based Dr Atamjeet who enthralled the audience by his performance. Audiences were seen crying while watching his performance. Raj Kumar Behrupia a well known theater personality of J&K read out extracts from legendary Krishan Chander's Novel ' Mitti ke Sanam' which created a nostalgic situation in the hall. Dr Liaqat Jafri, Swami Antar Nirav and veteran Urdu poet Pandit Vidya Rattan Aasi recited their poetry which was liked by the audience. The proceedings of the program were conducted by reputed poet and patron of Virasat Anwar Khan.He also introduced the guests with the audience. Haroon Rathore secretary of the organization presented welcome address and briefed about activities of Virasat. Renowned Punjabi writer Khalid Hussain was guest of honour. He appreciated the efforts of Virasat in organising such programs and laid emphasis on Communal harmony and brotherhood The prominent who present on the occasion were Dr. SD Sharma, Ghulam Hussain Jafri, Sanjay Raina, Amin Qammer, Tanveer Banday, Sarfaraz Mir, Pradeep Khanna, Ashraf Choudhary, Majid Jhangir, Zahir Kaifi, Manmohan Singh Asif Iqbal and Taj Hussain Shah. |
