Centre' s rigid stand perturbs separatists | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 2: Turning tough on separatists and subversives, the union government has tightened noose on them. According to sources, separatists as well as the over and underground terrorists are perturbed with tough stand taken by Modi Government which has directed the state authorities not to show any leniency to them until they shun the path of violence and policy of blackmail. Sources said the an abrupt change took place in the behaviour of the Union Government after separatists refused to meet Rajnath Singh led Parliamentary delegation last month. Sources said GoI has decided to block all channels of funding to separatists so that their activities are hampered. They added that the Government has kept a strict vigil on the activities of separatists , the source of their funding from within and abroad and decided to frame cases against them. The sudden action, by the Centre has perturbed separatists including hardliner Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah. This is main reason that Geelani downed his tune during recent statements condemning killings of forces as well as people and torching of schools in Valley. |
