KBWA's plea to Chief Minister | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Nov 2: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association was held here, today which was chaired by the Association President Sat Paul Lakhotra and attended by a large number of Batwal community members. The meeting alleged that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir is ignoring Batwal Community people as their series of memorandums submitted to it in the last three decades have fetched no response. Association members stated that the Batwal Community is a huge segment of population in the State but despite that the Government is ignoring it as the Government has not resolved its even a single burning issue. Meeting urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to look into the matter and do full social justice with the Batwal community people by seeking action taken report from the departments to which their memorandums were referred by the former Chief Ministers in the last three decades for taking necessary action therein. Earlier, the Association expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of its eminent member Gian Chand Lakhotrawho was hailing from Dei Chack (Near Ghou-Manhassan). Association members termed Lakhotraas a man of principles and said that he led his life with dignity. All present observed a two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
