6 yrs on, Mini Secretariat Complex Mendhar still Incomplete | | | MS NAZKI Early Times Report POONCH, Nov 2: Public Works Department (PWD) undertook the work of construction of Rs 14 Crore Mini Secretariat Complex in Mendhar in 2011 but after almost six years the complex yet has to see the dawn courtesy snail's pace of work. Locals lamented that despite lapse of six years, the complex has not been completed due to incompetence of the concerned department and negligent attitude of the successive government which have doled a step motherly treatment towards the people of Mendhar by delaying various developmental works. A local Er Mustaq Jatt said, "I am watching work going on this complex for the last six years and often get surprised why the work yet has not been completed. Residents like Er Mustaq Jatt said that Government needs to expedite the work on this project keeping in view the problems of the people of area. They alleged that Mendhar has been ignored from developmental point of view and such a delay in government project is an indicator to substantiate that people in Mendhar are continuously witnessing step motherly treatment at the hands of state government. Locals maintained as per officials records over Rs 7 Crore has been spent on the construction work of said project and work is yet to complete and further appealed to present regime to get the complex completed as early as possible. |
