Former Minister and Sr Vice President JKPCC ,Sham Lal Sharma who visited several firing affected areas condemned the act of Pakistani troops. He expressed his sympathy to those who lost their dear ones in firing. Mr Sharma also demanded that the compensation being paid to the victim of Pakistani firing on civilians be enhanced. He said that compensation should also be paid to those families whose livestock have been killed in shelling He assured the border people that at this time of disturbance, he and his party will always be at their beck and call. Sharma demanded that government and administration should ensure proper basic facilities for those border people who moved to camps established by the Government. He said the border people should be provided proper place for living, proper food, water, electricity, bathrooms, sanitation and healthcare. Sham Lal Sharma while visiting border areas and the people who have been affected due to recent cross border firing, said that the plight of these people is precarious. He said that the present BJP PDP government in the state is behaving like a mute spectator and have failed completely to provide succor to these innocent people. The people are facing great hardships due to non availability of proper medical and other basic facilities. Sham Sharma lambasted on BJP-PDP Govt said that they have failed to check the unrest prevailing in the State. The Colleges and Schools are burnt fearlessly by anti-national elements and it is surprising that so far none of these anti-national elements were nabbed. He said that there is no government and civil administration functioning in the state. There is chaos at every level in the state due to inefficiency of the BJP PDP government. He said that whole state has been turned into battle field by the BJP government intentionally. In my opinion this situation is being created by the NDA government keeping in view of the forthcoming Assembly elections in the country. Taking a sharp dig on Modi, Sham lal said that the Prime Minister is engrossed in his activities and it is painful that he has not uttered even a single word about the prevailing situation in the state nor expressed sympathy on the killing of innocent border residents and the brave jawans. He further said that whenever BJP or NDA government came into power there is always unrest in the country because of various issues engineered by the leaders of this party. Sharma took a dig at the Modi Govt. and BJP for exploiting the isolated incidents at the borders during UPA regime and launched a loud campaign for domestic politics but unfortunately the borders did not witness calm and peace during the short stint of Modi rule and people have suffered the worst during this period. On this occasion, Sham Lal expressed deep concern over the escalation in the border firing and targeting of the civilian population by Pakistan in the recent months and regretted that people all along the J&K borders and Loc are witnessing the most difficult periods in the recent years. |
