SVO produces challan against then patwari in trap case 11/19/2016 10:11:01 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: The State Vigilance Organization today produced charge sheet (challan) in the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption, Udhampur against the accused Sanjeev Kumar then Patwari Halqa Tikri s/o Prem Chand R/O village Tope Salmarahi Tehsil & District Udhampur in case FIR No.02/2015 under Section 5 (1)(d) r/w (2) J&K P.C. Act Svt. 2006 and Section 4-A P.C Act (Amendment 2014) Police Station Vigilance Organization, Jammu. Brief facts of the case are that the instant case was registered in P/S VOJ 08-01-2015, on the basis of written complaint lodged by the complainant Davinder Singh Thakur R/O Tikri Gool District Udhampur alleging therein that he had applied for a loan from J&K bank entrepreneurship Development Institute(JKEDI) to setup a poultry unit under Capital Seed Scheme for which he required land papers for processing of the said bank loan. As per the complaint his share in the land under khasra No.1892 belonging to his father needed to be transferred in his name in the revenue record for processing the said bank loan. The complainant as per the complaint appeared before Tehsildar Udhampur of 22-12-2014 with an application for this purpose who marked his application to the accused Patwari Sanjeev Kumar then Posted in Patwari Halqa Tikri. As per the complaint the accused Patwari started giving him dates and ultimately demanded Rs.10000/- to separate his share from his fathers land. Despite taking Rs.4000/- as bribe from the complainant the accused Patwari did not provide him the revenue papers and demanded remaining bribe amount of Rs.6000/- to issue the said revenue papers. Aggrieved with the demand of bribe, the complainant filed an complaint in the vigilance organization, Jammu for taking action under law against accused patwari Sanjeev Kumar. On receipt of the complaint by VOJ a successful trap was laid against the accused Patwari and he was arrested while demanding and accepting Rs.6000/- from the complainant Davinder Singh Thakur. After completing the investigation government sanction for launching prosecution against the accused was obtained from the competent authority and accordingly the challan was produced against him in Anti-corruption court Udhampur for his judicial determination.
