Kathua players facing official apathy, no participation in Inter-school tournaments | | | Nitish Bhardwaj

Jammu, Nov 19: Due to 'callous' attitude of department of youth service and sports (DYSS), budding sportspersons of Kathua district are facing the discrimination asthey are being deprived of inter school tournaments. One can guage the level of level of discrimination done by the sports authorities with district Kathua as gymnastic and fencing inter school has not been conducted for last much time. Sources within the department told Early Times that there are so many talented budding players present in Kathua district but the talent is getting waste as DYSS are not giving them (players) proper platform to show their talent. "As inter school are not being conducted how can a player show hi capability and how would they proceed to next levels which are Inter Division and State Level" questioned scores of players. If sources are to believed so many complaints have been lodged with the sports officer of Kathua district but till the date no action has been taken to streamline the system. |
