Jammu, Nov 19 : Judicial Magistrate, Majalta, Touseef Ahmad Magray has convicted a rape accused and sentenced him to one year imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on accused Mohan Lal, son of Munshi Ram of Jakhanu, Majalta in Udhampur district. He was sentenced for one year for the commission of offence under section 354 of RPC and one month simple imprisonment for the commission of offence under section 341 of RPC. According to the police case, the accused was booked for outraging the modesty of a woman. After completing investigation, a challan was produced by police in the munsiff court, Majalta. (JNF) |
