Jammu, Dec 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is likely to start conducting screening tests for the posts of Plus 2 Lecturers from December 18 across the state.
Sources informed Early Times that the JKPSC has made a tentative date sheet for conducting the tests from December 18 and in the first phase; tests in four subjects would be conducted.
The subjects for which screening tests are likely to be conducted from December 18 are History, Sociology, Education and Political Science.
"A notice regarding tentative date sheet will be uploaded on the website of JKPSC soon and if everything goes as per the plan, final date sheet will also be published by JKPSC", sources said, adding that the Commission has to conduct screening test across the state, for which exam centers are to be established across state.
Though space in various government institutions is also finalized but there are some pending issues, which are to be decided by Commission, after which final notice will be published by Commission.
Moreover, on the question of ongoing interview process of Assistant Professor in Colleges, sources said that over the stayed selection process for the posts of Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Geography, the Court has once again stayed the process till next date of hearing, which is scheduled for 6th of December.
"Those, who had secured stay from Court had objected over the issue of Minimum Standard Procedure (MSP) certificate, on which University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as Higher Education department had already made their stance clear, due to which a caveat had not been filed by JKPSC", sources said, adding that until the court decided the case, the selection process would not be completed in above mentioned subjects.
On the remaining posts of Assistant Professors in Political Science and Commerce, sources said that Commission has conducted the screening tests in various subjects and soon the interviews in remaining subjects would be conducted.
