Pak is sending convicts to effect terror strikes in India: Army | | | Agencies New Delhi, Dec 4: In a new twist in its proxy war against India, Pakistan is sending criminals with life sentences on their heads or those convicted with serious charges in very heinous crimes to carry out terrorist strikes in various parts of the country. An official posted in Kashmir said today that Pakistani Government sheltered these militants in many ways. Pakistani authorities encouraged the convicts languishing in their jails who have either got life sentences or death to carry out subversive activities in India saying that if they were successful they would be forgiven and if they died during the operations they would get the status of ''martyrs''. The officer told that this fact has come to light from the documents retrieved from militants who were gunned down by security forces during counter insurgency operations. Pakistan was sending convicts at LoC to create mayhem. The Army officer also told that Pakistan was trying all tricks in the rule book to give shape to its ugly misadventures. The arrested infiltrators have admitted that due to abject poverty and radicalisation they have turned militants. These young men who are hypnotised into terrorism have been brain-washed to such an extent that they see nothing except their mission of ''killing''. Pakistan is constantly trying to push militants into Kashmir to foment trouble and that's the reason of increased tension at the LoC recently. The officer also told that movement of people at Pakistan's forward posts across the LoC also raises the possibility of infiltration of terrorists into the Indian side. The Pakistani Government shows them the way forward from these forward posts deep into the Indian side of the state which clears any doubt that these intruders enjoy complete support of the Pakistani Army. It is due to this nexus between the Pakistani Army and the terrorists that the terrorists activities are carried out in India unabated. The Armyman also informed that infiltration peaks during winters. As the thorny wires get covered under a blanket of snow, militants find it easy to get into the Indian region during winters. He also admitted that since India is retaliating with full force to Pakistan's aggression now, the enemy is frustrated. When irked, it tries to target civilian population in areas like RS Pura, Arnia, Suchetghad, Akhnoor, Ramghad and other sectors. The Army official said surgical strikes carried out by India in late September have put Pakistan in its place and now its finding face saver. |
