Minister asks officials to behave, listen to people | BJP workers make 'special appearance' during review meeting | | M S Nazki
Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 4: The Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Abdul Ghani Kohli, today found himself in quandary when the BJP workers blamed the officials of district administration for not paying any heed towards their genuine complaints. Sources told Early Times that Kohli was chairing a meeting of the officials at Dak Bungalow Mendhar this morning. The meeting was called by the minister to review the development works in the area. "As the meeting was going on the BJP workers entered the meeting hall and requested the minister to listen to them first. BJP workers interrupting the meeting irked the officials, who objected strongly and stated that this is violation of protocol. However the BJP workers did not relent. Minister had to stop the meeting in between. He asked the employees to leave the hall and meeting will resume later. This created confusion a few employees left the hall while a few refused to move out," sources added. While interacting with the minister, BJP workers, according to the sources, alleged that whenever any BJP worker approaches administration for any information on development works of the area, their multiple requests fall on deaf ears. They alleged that employees have a soft corner towards activists of some other political party and this is the reason they ignore all the genuine demands raised by BJP workers. Kohli after hearing the BJP workers directed the tehsil officials to cooperate with each and every person who approaches them for redressal of any kind of issue. However, the administration denied the allegations and stated that these are baseless and far away from the reality. Due to this high voltage drama the meeting did not resume and vital issues which were to be discussed remained unattended. |
