Police rescues 6 bovines, smugglers managed to give slip | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 4: Rajouri police have rescued 6 bovine animals in the morning today while the bovine smugglers managed to give slip to the Rajouri police leaving behind the Tat Mobile vehicle in which they were carrying the bovines. Sources in police said that after specific information a police party from Rajouri police station led by inspector Chaman Gorkha, SHO under the supervision of Hamid Choudhry, Deputy SP HQ laid a special police naka at Khandli bridge and started frisking of the vehicles. On spotting police party the driver of Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration No.JK02AR -7370 stopped the vehicle just ahead of the bridge and slipped from the spot along with bovine smugglers leaving behind the vehicle along with 6 bovine animals. Police have seized the vehicle and rescued the animals and have registered a case FIR No.745/16 under sections 188 RPC & 3 PCA against the unidentified persons and started investigation. On Saturday Johnny William ,DIG and Mohd Suleman Choudhry, SSP has given directions to all the SHOs and other senior officers to act tough against the anti-social elements, drug peddlers and bovine smugglers under their respective areas. |
