| Demands release of 6 months SSA salary , threaten to gherao Secretariat on Dec 15 | | ReT Forum condemns screening test order | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 4: A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers' Forum on Sunday held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar and was attended by delegates of Forum from all the eleven zones of the District.
While speaking on the occasion Mr. Sharma lambasted the state government and Education department who is harassing the ReT cadre day after day by issuing unjustified orders to screen ReTs having degrees from study centres by giving reference of court order , whereas court had ordered to screen those having degrees from tuck shops.
But without caring the content of court order and without publishing the list of fake study centres how can the department can go for the screening test? ,he asked, adding that it shows clearly the harassment attitude of the department to those having genuine degrees who have got depressed due to such order .
He said that thousands of SSA teachers of the state are without salary for last 4 to 6 month and the families of these teachers are living miserable lives as they are unable to provide proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their old and ailing parents. They were unable to celebrate the festivals like Eid , Diwali etc .Though Education Minister had assured two years back that he will streamline the SSA salary within 6 months but the ground reality after two years is that SSA teachers are on verge of starvation. None from either government or from department bothers to resolve the issue of SSA salary which has always been a chronic problem but at the same time the department leaves no stone unturned to harass the ReTs on the name of so called screening test which is condemned by ReT Forum and it's a matter of shame for those who are making to suffer the families of thousands of ReTs under SSA and due to such orders.
The Forum members unanimously threatened to Gherao the Civil Secretariat on 15th of December 2016 if such order is not revoked and 6 months SSA salary is not released before then and for any untoward incident the department would be personally responsible and appealed the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to personally intervene in this regard and resolve the issue of SSA salary and screening test issue so that thousands of ReTs of the state may not suffer any more who have been working in far flung areas of the state for last more than 15 years.
Others who also spoke on the occasion were Sukhdev Singh Sumbria , Ashok Seth , Pritam Goswami, Bhushan Khajuria , Sandeep Sharma , Kuldip Katoch , Surjit Singh , Anil Sharma , Sushil Singh , Mann Chand , and other. |
