Jammu, Dec 4: The congress workers and inhabitants of Talab Tillo held protest demonstration against the callous and apathetic attitude of the state government under the leadership of Sanjeev Sharma, organizing Secretary, JKPCC concerning the worst ever condition of the streets.
An effigy of the state BJP leadership was set aflame to express the anguish over the dilapidated condition of the lanes, by-lanes and the drains of the area. Addressing the gathering Sanjeev Sharma expressed deep anguish over the indifferent attitude of the administration and the state government.
He said that while begging for votes the BJP made tall promises of superfast development of the area. The situation today is that the lanes and by-lanes give too shabby a look. The ever boasting BJP has totally neglected the area," he said. The drains are choked and require immediate dechoking.
He also said that the condition of the main road Talab Tillo and Akhnoor road on various places are not good. Whereas it was claimed by the BJP Leaders that the quality of road being constructed would be of excellent standards and their claims have proved hollow today just after 3 months of the construction.He warned that the movement for development of the area will be intensified further if the lanes of this most important area of the largest constituency of the state are not constructed on a war footing.
