Squad imposes fine Rs 13150 on erring traders

RAMBAN, Dec 9: Special market checking squad conducted market checking in Ramban and Chanderkote town to ensure that people get quality edibles and essential commodities with reasonable rates and imposed Rs 13150 from erring traders.
A joint team comprising Tehsildar Ramban Gurpreet Singh, Naib Tehsildar GH Sehmat and TSO Ramban Nazir Ahmed besides officers of different departments carried out a surprise checking. During the inspection, Rs. 13150 was realised as fine from defaulters by checking squads. All the shopkeepers, dabawales and vendors were directed to maintain hygiene and quality of eatables and also ensure display of price list.
The team checked the rates of fruits, vegetables, milk, chicken, mutton and other eatables besides inspecting the quality of these commodities.
