At last, PHQ relieves 2 'blue-eye' police officers | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 9: Refusing to succumb to the political pressure, PHQ has at last exerted itself and relieved the two officers who had disobeyed their transfer orders issued nearly an year or so back. While one of them is a Sub-Inspector doing computer related job, the other deals in court matters. Both of them were posted in JKS range, police sources said. One of them stands transferred to police training academy, Udhampur. Even after the issuance of their transfer orders nearly an year or so back, they had not joined new places of posting as some police officers allegedly allowed them to work against the posts they were holding in the JKS range, the sources added. However, after transfers of senior officers were effected, the new officer immediately relieved them. "To influence the officer so that he does not relieve them, they approached a BJP minister and requested him to get their transfers cancelled from the PHQ," sources said. Sources said when the minister spoke to a senior officer, he told him that since they were transferred long back, they had to join their new places of posting as their replacements too had come. The minister, who got convinced with the officer's submission, asked the two officers to join their new places of posting. The minister asked them to get relieved immediately as transfers were part of their duty, sources said and added that the duo had now joined their new places of posting. |
