| BJP to take up their issue with authorities: Ram Madhav | | Rohingyas increasing in Jammu | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: The settlement of Rohingyas from Myanmar in Jammu is becoming a big issue with each passing day. Not only the concerned citizens of Jammu and across the country are raking up this issue but even organization like VHP has also taken up this issue in a big way.
Only the other day, VHP held a press conference and demanded ouster of all these illegal migrants. The VHP leadership also met with the Divisional Commissioner for the same purpose. The VHP said that the presence of Rohingyas in Jammu was a threat to the security of Jammu as well as national security and, hence, they must be thrown out forthwith.
It appears the local BJP leadership had also discussed the issue with the visiting BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav. Notwithstanding the fact that no local BJP leader issued any statement in this regard, the tweet of Ram Madhav that that he was taking up this issue with the concerned authorities does suggest that there was discussion on the issue between him and the local BJP leadership.
Tens of thousands of Rohingyas are searching for a new beginning across South Asia after they are forced to leave Myanmar.
Hundreds of Rohingya families have found refuge in the winter capital of the state, Jammu. A report says that these Rohingya are being encouraged by some people to come and settle in Jammu saying they will be safe in Jammu. |
